World cup Football coverage

The SVH is pleased to confirm that ALL Football World cup games will be shown LIVE on BIG screens in our open air lounge overlooking surf point.
ESPN, Star Sports and all channels are available.
Just like all previous years, we will have surround sound, top class food and of course our famous All Natural Draft beers on offer.

This is the place to be!

Enjoy the all games and the finals in a beautiful setting with excellent, friendly people from all over the globe.

Accommodation:

This summer, 2010 the Bay will be very busy.
So far, quality rooms are rare (i.e a/c, warm water, fridge, TV etc.)

The Siam View regrets that we can no longer accept any telephone advance bookings. We are rather popular. Maybe because we offer best value for money in the Bay  we are usually full every night.
We therefore operate a simple First come -  First served type of reservation system.

New: For some Selected Guests only we offer a sort of  ”Home Stay” – meet and live with the  ”Siam Family” kind-of- package.
And that is to be part of our small team, our family, be entertained by our 3 year old Miss Leila (or entertain her!), get to know our great and well known artist friend and restaurant manager Mr. Nihal, live and eat, drink with us. Fit in, get to know us and our own circle of true friends.

Social interacting, a great quiet and relaxed holiday in a family type of setting!
All inclusive of a nice air con room, all food and all drinks (in moderation) and the odd excursion.

We suggest a daily rate of just 5,000Rs./ pp, based on two sharing a room.

Many congratulations on being chosen as a Best in Country Winner in The Telegraph’s Best of British Awards!

The Siam View Hotel is now not only classed as the best Pub / Bar in Sri Lanka, but is now in with a chance of becoming the Best in the World.

The shortlists of winners and other commended establishments from 47 countries are now live on The Telegraph’s Best of British site, which can be accessed via www.telegraph.co.uk/expat. All Best in Country winners go through to the next and final round of the competition, to select the best in the world.

As with the previous round, the judges will take into consideration the comments that each establishment has received and the quality of their nomination page, as well as the number of votes received.

All those who voted for you in the first round can now vote again for you at this world showdown stage, so to boost your chances please get them and your other patrons to log on to the site as soon as possible and get clicking.  Voting in this rounds ends on March 15.

The world winners will be announced at the Best of British Awards ceremony on April 22^nd at in London. With more than 100 country winners, sadly we can’t meet the costs of air fares or accommodation, but there is an open invitation for you to attend, should you wish to make it. If you would be interested in coming, then please reply to this email expressing your interest.

We will shortly be sending you a certificate recording your Best in Country victory to display in your establishment should you wish. Congratulations again on your success so far, and good luck with your quest for world domination.
